RU Voting Coalition Sign-On Form

Something big is happening in our democracy – young people are voting. In 2004, 2006, and now again in the 2008 Presidential Primaries, we’ve turned out in big numbers. As young people, we care about a lot of issues, and we’re not waiting for politicians to come to us. As part of the RU Voting Coalition and the New Voters Project campaign, we’re registering, educating, and mobilizing the youth vote to “Make Them Pay Attention to Us”.

We’ve got big plans for 2008. We turned our fellow students out to vote in the Presidential Primaries on February 5. We are going right to the candidates at their events to engage them in conversations about the issues that matter most to young people. We are generating media attention for the youth vote, and building a buzz on campus to make sure every Rutgers student is engaged and informed about the 2008 Presidential Elections. And we are working with our partners in the university to make it easier for every Rutgers student to have the information they need to register to vote and to cast their vote.
