Eligibility

In order to register to vote, you must be a U.S. citizen, 18 years old on or before Election Day, and a legal resident of Washington State for at least 30 days.

  • In order to register to vote you cannot be disqualified from voting due to a court order or under Department of Corrections supervision for a Washington felony conviction. Vote-By-Mail Practices

Washington uses a vote-by-mail system. Therefore, if you are registered to vote in Washington, there is no need to request a ballot. Click here to access Washington’s Special Absentee Ballot Application Form.

Early Voting

Washington offers early voting.

  • Early voting begins 18 days before the election (October 18, 2024) and goes through Election Day.
