Delaware allows for same-day voter registration up until Election Day, November 8. Voters can apply online, in-person, or by mailing in a completed application.
Eligibility
In order to register to vote, you must be a US Citizen, a Delaware resident, and at least 18 years old by Election Day.
- Convicted felons are allowed to vote if they have completed their sentence or were not convicted of a disqualifying felony. A list of disqualifying felonies can be found here.
- College students have a choice of whether they want to vote in Delaware or vote in their home state. You may only be registered and vote at one location.

Vote-By-Mail Practices

- The deadline to request an absentee by-mail ballot is 7 days before Election Day (November 1, 2022).
- All absentee ballots must be received by 8pm on Election Day in order to be counted.
