Your voter registration application must be received on or by October 5, 2020 in order to be eligible to vote in the 2020 General Election.
Eligibility
In order to register to vote you must be a U.S. citizen, be a legal resident of a Georgia county, be at least 17 1/2 years of age (being 18 in order to vote), not be serving a sentence for conviction of a felony involving moral turpitude, and not be found mentally incompetent by a judge.
- College students can obtain Georgia voter registration forms, or the necessary forms to register in any state in the U.S., from their school registrar’s office or from the office of the Vice President of Academic Affairs. College students have a choice of whether they want to vote in Georgia or vote in their home state. You may only be registered and vote at one location.
Deadline
The deadline to register vote in Georgia for the General Election (November 3, 2020) is October 5, 2020.

Vote-By-Mail Practices

- Absentee ballots will be issued up to the day before Election Day. No absentee ballots will be issued the day before or the day of the election. Find more information here.
- Absentee ballots must be received by the County Board of Registrars by 7pm on Election Day.

Early Voting
Georgia offers early voting.
- Voting times and locations for your county can be found here. Early absentee voting begins on October 12, 2020. However, you cannot vote on the day before Election Day (November 2, 2020).
