Idaho allows in-person, same day voter registration until Election Day, November 8, 2022.
Eligibility
In order to register to vote, you must be a U.S. Citizen, at least 18 years of age, and a have resided in Idaho and the county for 30 days prior to the day of election.
- Although voting rights are restored once you have completed your sentence, probation, and parole, you can not be serving a sentence of imprisonment for a felony at the time of registration.
- Students do have a choice of whether they want to vote in an Idaho election or vote in an election in their home state. You may only be registered and vote at one location.
Deadline
The deadline to vote in Idaho for the General Election is October 14, 2022 (If registering by mail, the application must be received by this date). Same-day voter registration is allowed.

There are three methods of voter registration in Idaho: online, mail in a printable application, or in-person at the county clerk.

- All mail-in applications must be signed personally by you and be received by the County Clerk no later than 11 days before the election.
- Ballots must be received by 8 pm on Election Day.

- Early voting locations typically open 15 to 22-days prior to Election Day and close four-days before Election Day.
