Eligibility
In order to be eligible to vote, you must be a U.S. citizen, a resident of North Dakota, a resident in the precinct for at least 30 days preceding the election, and at least 18 years old on Election Day.

Deadline
North Dakota does not require voter registration. Therefore, as long as you meet the eligibility requirements and provide an acceptable form of identification, you can vote on Election Day.

Vote-By-Mail Practices

- The deadline to request an absentee ballot is the day right before Election Day (November 4, 2024), but it is recommended that if you are requesting your ballot by mail, that you do so as early as possible to ensure that you allow adequate time to have your ballot mailed to you.
- Your completed absentee ballot must be postmarked by the day before Election Day (November 4, 2024).
