Your voter registration application must be received on or by October 13, 2020 in order to be eligible to vote in the 2020 General Election.
Eligibility
In order to register to vote, you must be a U.S. citizen, a resident of Oregon, and be at least 16 years old (although you must be 18 to vote).

Vote-By-Mail Practices
Oregon uses an all vote-by-mail system for its elections. All registered voters will receive a ballot two to three weeks before Election Day. Click here for an absentee ballot request form if you would like your ballot mailed to an address other than your permanent residence.
- The deadline to register to vote in Oregon for the General Election is October 13, 2020. As long as you are registered by or on this date, you will receive a by-mail ballot.
- Your completed by-mail ballot must be received by 8pm on Election Day in order to be counted.
- If you cast your ballot after October 28, 2020, the ballot should be left at a drop box site to ensure it’s counted.

Election Day Practices
You can still vote in-person on Election Day in Oregon at your County Elections Office. Click here for more information on how to contact your County Clerk for specific dates and times. All ballots must be returned to a County Elections Office or designated drop box site by 8pm on Election Day.
- You do not need to provide a form of ID along with your ballot. Your signature on the return envelope of your ballot will be matched with your voter registration card to verify your identity.
